Overall mission:
Support IM&T projects and teams by providing Architecture expertise on Data Architecture and related Enterprise Data Solutions suite (MDM, Data Quality & Profiling, Business Process Management, Process Mining, Data Audit, Data Sharing Landing Zone) to drive successful solution design and implementation, within organisational objectives and business requirements
Makes sure new Enterprise Data Products/Applications landscape introduced (or evolution of existing ones) are aligned with the IS strategy.
Responsibilities:
1 - Architecture Governance
Follow Architecture governance: communicate and ensure adherence to architecture processes, principles, guidelines and standards
2 - Platform roadmap
Actively contribute and support Applications Architects and Platform Managers on the definition and evolution of Roadmap/Strategy for the Enterprise Data Platform
Analyse the current Platform application architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements
Develop migration strategies to close gaps between current and future states of the Platform application architectures
3 - Project delivery
Plays the Architect Lead role for projects in the Platform Portfolio within his/her scope
Liaise with other Solution Architects in other Platforms within their domain
Liaise with Business & Information Architects to check on how project contribute to close the gap between today's and future Business Capabilities
Liaise with Architects in all other EAM domains (Tech, Info, Sec) to make sure the Solution Architecture design is complete
Assess whether or not an existing application can meet the business requirements
Responsible to produce the HLD and to document Products/Applications (new and/or changes on existing) for her/his Platform in Mega (processes & data model)
Responsible to validate solution Architecture: Ensures projects comply with established EA principles, standards and guidelines.
Responsible for the ADR (Architecture Decision Record): Analyses high level requirements and identifies potential scenarios. Leads solution assessments (reuse-buy-build).
Identifies need for POC
Contributes to the definition to the way applications exchange information across Platforms (Information Architect accountable and responsible)
4 - Technology
Lead the technology watch activities on her/his Platform.
Education:
Higher education completed, inevitably with a degree in Computer Sciences
Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of professional working experience within the field of Solution architecture, experience carrying out multiple medium sized projects at the same time
Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture enabling a holistic understanding of a complex system landscape with an excellent technical background including hands-on experience in the software development process
Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects
Exhibited skills in leading efforts involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple related projects
Skills:
TOGAF, DAMA certified
Familiar with architectural, development and operational methodologies (e.g., ITIL, ITSM ) with excellent knowledge of information systems, related modelling methods & tools
Good understanding of Innovation approaches and methodologies (Design Thinking, lean Lean Start-up)
Expert in Data Architecture, Data Governance, Metadata Management, Master Data management, Data and Application Integration
Excellent written and verbal communicator in English, coupled with strong negotiation and presentation skills
Open minded and accepting challenges
